The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed charge sheets against two Indian nationals in connection with murder cases that occurred in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. These prosecutions follow official requests from both foreign governments for legal action under Indian jurisdiction.

1. UAE Murder Case (2008)

  • Accused: Inder Jit Singh

  • Victim: Rama Lingam Natesan, an Indian expatriate based in Abu Dhabi.

  • Incident: Following a monetary dispute over AED 300, the accused allegedly attacked the victim with a sharp weapon on August 28, 2008, resulting in death.

  • Charges: Filed under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).


2. Bahrain Murder Case (2011)

  • Accused: Subhash Chander Mahla, a private driver.

  • Incident: On January 31, 2011, he allegedly attacked his employer after a dispute, causing fatal head injuries.

  • Charges: Filed under Sections 302 and 404 of IPC.
