Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) Silver Jubilee Tribute – Bangalore

Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) marked its Silver Jubilee milestone with a grand celebration in Bangalore on 10 August 2025. The event, held at the Karnataka Engineer’s Academy, Basaveshwara Nagar, was themed “Tribute to the Founders & Pioneers who Led KSQ to its Glorious Silver Jubilee”.

The highlight of the event was the felicitation of 12 social workers who have made remarkable contributions to society:

• Dr. K.S. Rajanna (Mandya) – Paralympic medalist & Padma Shri awardee, championing the cause of the disabled.
• Nagarathna (Belgaum) – Founder of Ashraya Foundation for AIDS patients.
• Geetha R. Shetty (Mangalore) – Runs an old age Sevashrama at Derlakatte.
• Prakash Shettigar (Beluvai) – Founder of Spoorti School for special children.
• Harish Pergade (Meremajal) – Runs Matha Lakshani Old Age Home.
• Ashwin Angadi (Ballari) – Founder of Belaku Academy for the blind & deaf.
• Ranjith (Bangalore) – Founder of Araike Trust, supporting destitute residents.
• Tarula Tarun (Theerthahalli) – Founder of Hosa Belaku Ashrama in Udupi.
• Herald Moras (Vamanjoor) – Active with CEDSO,

As part of the initiative “25 Years – 25 Grateful Faces with Joy”, KSQ also extended financial support to patients battling kidney ailments, cancer, and other critical illnesses across Karnataka.

The second phase of the event honored KSQ’s founders, past presidents, and pioneers, with moving tributes that blended gratitude with cultural performances. President Ravi Shetty emphasized the association’s mission of uniting experienced minds with youthful energy for the greater good.

The event concluded with Sangeetha Ragasudhe, heartfelt reunions, and a traditional meal, symbolizing the spirit of unity and pride in Karnataka’s rich heritage. The program not only celebrated 25 years of KSQ’s journey in Qatar but also reinforced its strong cultural and social bonds with Karnataka.
