Indian Embassy in Kuwait Launches Mango & Agro Product Promotion
Friday, August 1, 2025 Kuwait
In a strategic initiative to boost bilateral trade, the Embassy of India in Kuwait, in collaboration with APEDA, organized a high-profile “Indian Mango Indulgence” promotion event in Kuwait during July 2025.
From July 25–27, a curated delegation of leading Indian agro exporters showcased premium mango varieties—including GI tags like Fazli, Dussheri, Amrapali, Chausa, Langra, and Mallika—as well as value-added processed foods in public events at Lulu Hypermarket (Al Rai) and The Avenues Mall. The campaign also featured retail activations at outlets of Asha’s Restaurants across Kuwait.
⚖️ The promotion was part of broader B2B trade events held earlier in September 2024, where the Embassy, TPCI, and FIEO organized Buyer-Seller Meets at the Hotel Grand Majestic and KCCI Exhibition Hall. Approximately 30 Indian companies participated, engaging in business discussions with hypermarkets and importers in Kuwait. These events reflected India's export momentum in food and agriculture, valued at USD 344 million in FY2023‑24.
🗣️ Indian Ambassador Dr Adarsh Swaika inaugurated the events, highlighting the rising demand for Indian agrifood products in Kuwait and the kingdom’s potential as a key market for organic farming, fortified foods, and food tech innovations. He reaffirmed India’s position as one of Kuwait’s major trading partners.
