Karnataka Associations in Qatar Unite for Indian Workers’ Sports Meet in Doha

Eight prominent Karnataka-based associations in Qatar united to organize a spirited Indian Workers' Sports Meet for blue-collar workers under the theme:
“Stronger Together Through Sports – Unity, Health & Spirit!”
Held at the Pearling Sports Academy in Doha, the event drew enthusiastic participation from nearly 300 Indian workers, bringing communities together through team spirit and athletic competition.

These groups operate under the Embassy of India’s Indian Cultural Center framework.
🤝 Team Spirit & Engagement:
Participants were grouped into four colorful teams named after major Indian rivers—Ganga (blue), Kaveri (yellow), Godavari (red), and Sindhu (purple). Each team was guided by community sports leaders, giving matches a unique and enthusiastic identity
🎤 At the Closing Ceremony:
Indian Ambassador to Qatar, H.E. Vipul, and First Secretary Harish Pandey attended the finals and award ceremony, praising the Karnataka associations’ community spirit and highlighting the importance of sports for unity and well-being.
Speeches by KSQ President Ravi Shetty and Secretary Sarfraz Thambitkar emphasized the event’s role in building healthy communities. The closing was hosted by Indian Sports Centre MC member Chandrashekar Angadi, with a vote of thanks by KSQ General Secretary Kumar Swamy
